The Indigo Charcoal Dyed Ramie Lawn Dress from Pas de Calais is crafted from a light yet textural ramie. The fabric is dyed using both indigo dye and sulfide dye that gives the fabric a beautiful depth. The dyeing process is one of patience, with such a deep blue requiring layers and layers of dye. Binchotan charcoal dye is layered with the indigo to create added depth, with each piece dyed by hand so that no two pieces are alike. The dress features ruched sleeve details, tucks at the waist with drawcord to further cinch in the silhouette, and an open v neck collar.. This dress is a testament to Pas De Calais’ incredible craftsmanship and knowledge of traditional artisanal techniques.
